Watch Your Step Records (WYSR), is a private Studio in Narrowsburg, NY built out and designed by Jeff Mayer around his passion for music, art + Design. Jeff is an avid house head who has spent over 30 years in NYC playing deep underground house music at some of his favorite spots like Mars, Bar ix, APT, The Frying Pan, Limelight to lofts in Queens + Brooklyn…His last residency was out in Sag Harbor at Gabby Karan + Donna Karan’s space Tutto iL Giorno/Urban Zen where he started his “living Room Sessions” on saturdays. The party became a hit out of the gate and brought regulars from Cindy crawford, Cuba Gooding Jr, Christy Brinkley and more…
Jeff is now bringing his concept to Narrowsburg once or twice a month we host our intimate “living Room Sessions’.
The idea is to provide a space to feel like your at home with friends in a living room setting. We aim to gain a more mature vibe with like minded creatives.
Music selections will be mostly deep house and always on vinyl..
vibes to expect: late 80’s/ 90’s house with some old school hip hop/jazz and downtempo jams.
Producers like Joaquin Claussell, Ron Trent, Louie Vega, Moodyman, Theo parrish to DJ Q, Jus Ed and more…
our goal is to create DJ sets that take you on a journey and touch your soul.
To attend our events, you must purchase a ticket on our website. if we have room, you can bring cash at the door but we cap our space at 25 people. Our space isn’t meant to make money past paying the bills, ie rent/ utitlies etc…
and since we are not a bar we need your donations / support to keep this unique space operating.
when you buy a ticket there are options to what you can pay. more you donate,the better chances of us keeping this going. We alos have art on walls, tee shirts, books and some records you can buy as well.
BYOB is recomended, we will provide cups/ice etc…
refreshments available through donations as well
IF this summer works out we will begin Memberships in the fall.

Jeff Mayer, Founder of WYSR
Jeff Mayer, former BMX pro and DJ, has over 30 years’ experience in art and design. His work has been featured in numerous publications, such as The New York Times, Interior Design Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Mayer also worked for 10 years at Rockstar Video Games, where he was their Creative Services Manager, overseeing promotional branding merchandise for games such as the infamous Grand Theft Auto series. Jeff also created the in store music for Prada US by recording his DJ mixes which were played throughout all the Prada retail shops in America. Jeff is the Co Founder of Bikes, Boards + Books in Brooklyn Heights which is a children’s multi sensory learning center/ program.
